Location: Working from home Monday to Friday but will need weekly visits to our clubs in Southampton & Fareham.  

Hours: 20 hrs per week

Salary: £10,490 per annum (plus travel expenses)

Energy Kidz are currently hiring for a Local Area Manager working from home and responsible for overseeing the day to day management of care clubs within the local area following current childcare and Playwork guidelines, ensuring the clubs are run to Energy Kidz policies and procedures.

The aim of this role is to support club staff in their role, prepare for ofsted inspections, reporting back to the Regional Manager on a regular basis and constantly striving to improve the service to stakeholders.  We are seeking applications from people who offer the following skills:-

  • A proven track record in effectively managing and motivating individuals and groups of employee’s
  • The ability to consistently demonstrate professional ethics and behaviours utilising company policies and industry best practice
  • A proven ability to communicate to an exceptional standard with multiple stakeholders both internal and external within a landscape of changing priorities.
  • An enhanced understanding of safety, welfare, physical, intellectual, social and emotional needs of children to include behavioural issues, special education needs, speech and language.
  • Be prepared for on call aspects including arranging cover at the clubs at late notice which may even result in your own attendance to the clubs

In order to be considered for this opportunity you will need to have the following:-

  • Childcare or management training
  • Post holders must be prepared to undertake training to carry out the full range of duties of a Local Area Manager
  • Experience of and a proven track record of effectively managing staff
  • Experience of a childcare environment – desirable
  • Experience of working in a challenging environment
  • A drivers license and own car is essential for this role
